Atlanta Trip

Friday, September 9th, Clifton, Macy and I headed to Atlanta to visit Shannon.   I took the day off from work so we could get on the road quicker.

We finally arrived

We unloaded our things, then Shannon took us to her fave pizza place Blue Moon Pizza. 

We ordered the Santa Fe Chicken pizza.  She told me I couldn't look at the ingredients, but I did anyway.  Black beans and onions were on this pizza.  Hmm, Shannon doesnt like these things either so I trusted her when she said that you couldn't really taste them.

She was right...it was good!

 The next morning we went to watch Shannon coach the little cheerleaders at the flag football game at her church.

Then we left to find some lunch.  We decided on KFC.  The potato wedges were exceptional haha

Macy slept while we ate

 After lunch, we headed to The World of Coke.  This was what I was most excited about!  We had been before, but they had made a lot of changes so it didn't feel like I was going to the same place. 

Macy loved the polar bear, she wasn't scared at all!  She even reached up with both of her hands and held his face..wish we would have gotten a picture of that.

She wasn't scared of this thing either...whatever it was lol

We walked around a little and watched how they bottle the coke and everything.

Then it was was time to go to the tasting room...what I had been waiting for!

They have this big room with different stations of fountain soda that you can try.  They are divided up by continents.  Some are really good while others were not good at all...if you go, you must try the "Beverly". 

There was nothing in Macy's cup by the way...

Shannon and I agreed this was our type of "club" haha

Then we went to the 4D moving theater. Macy sat on my lap and loved it. I wasn't crazy about the water that was sprayed on us though..poor Mace!

After leaving the World of Coke, Macy had to have a diaper and complete outfit change..of course.  I always have a freakout about changing her on those changing tables in public restrooms (gross).  Thank goodness Shannon was there to help me.

Then we went to eat dinner at a Chinese restaurant.  It was pretty good.  Here is Macy enjoying her orange.

 Then we drove out to Stone Mountain Park to see the laser light show...it was soooo crowded

It was a good show, but Macy just couldn't stay awake for the whole thing

The next morning we went to Shannon's church.  Clifton had to take Macy out because she was being too loud.  They walked around and took pictures .

After lunch, we headed back to Shannon's place and packed up.

We said our goodbyes...

On the way home we stopped to eat at my favorite restaurant...

Cracker Barrel!

  

Macy had a great time...so did we!
