Crayons and Christmas Fun

December 10, Clifton and I took Macy to Cracker Barrel.  We let her try coloring and she did surprisingly well (except for trying to eat the crayons) !  She was so good while we ate too.  We had so many people stop by our table and comment on her cuteness! lol

December 12, we had Christmas for the kids with Clifton's aunts and their families.  We also played dirty santa and another gift game.  It was a lot of fun!    Macy had fun opening gifts.  She was a lot more careful about opening than I thought she would be.  She would hand me each piece of wrapping paper lol.  She got lots of cute clothes and a stuffed animal.

She enjoyed playing the boy's keyboard and riding in their car.  I may have to get her a little car for her birthday!

The next night (Dec. 13) we went to the boy's Christmas program at their school.  They had a short little program and then we had refreshments.  Macy wanted to get down so bad and play with all the kids so I finally let her crawl where it was carpeted.  She loved the long hallway because she could just go and go!

Posts to come on Christmas party, Hollywild, & Nana's Christmas program, then I will be caught up!

Macy's 9 month well check

Macy had a dr. appt on December 9th.  She weighed 19 lbs 5 oz. (60th percentile) and was 28.5 inches long (80th percentile).  Her head was in the 50th percentile so it is now average and not too small haha.  The doctor said she will most definitely be tall!  She did really well with her examination.   Then she had to get 2 shots (one was flu shot), she cried a little while ...it was sad as always.  They gave her a sucker and a hello kitty sticker as we were leaving.  She goes back in January for the second part of the flu shot.

These are a few of my favorite things...

I thought I'd do a little fun post about my current fave things:

Cookout -  more specifically the cajun chicken sandwich cookout tray. You also get 2 sides and a giant sweet tea ..for $3.99.    I blame Megan for this addiction..

Gilmore Girls-  I can't seem to get sick of this show..I have all but one of the seasons on DVD.  As you can see, I'm not the only one who enjoys it hah

Chocolate turnovers from Arbys- ....so good and only $1!  If you want your chocolate fix, go get one!

Coupons-  Nothing like leaving a store knowing I saved a ton of money or got a great deal!

Strawberry Limeades from Sonic-  A timeless fave...I treat myself with this often. mmmmmm

Boutique Auctions on Facebook-  Goodness, I rarely actually buy , but I love to look at all the cute boutique style smocked dresses and outfits.  My faves are Lolly Wolly Doodle (they made the outfit below), Smockadot, Smocked Auctions...there are so many!

What are your current "obsessions" ?

(Now I'm starving and need a cookout tray, a strawberry limeade, and a chocolate turnover while watching Gilmore Girls and clipping coupons..who's with me? )

O' Christmas Tree

Saturday, December 3rd we took Macy to the greenhouse to pick out our Christmas tree.

We decided we would put it in the sunroom this year so we wouldn't have to worry about Macy getting into it.  Plus, it would definitely last longer since it would stay a lot colder and not get dried out by the heat.

Wrapping presents

We visited Santa earlier that day

Someone is very excited for Christmas
"Wee doggies!"
(That's what I imagine her saying)

This was the following day before we left the house to go visit Nana.
Little Santa baby

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving recap.... I'm always so late on these things.

This year we had Thanksgiving with my family at the nursing home where my nana is.
Look at us... still sitting at the "kid's table"

All of the food was really good as usual

Macy thought so as well!

After we finished eating we sat outside for a little while and Macy took a quick nap.   Here I am holding her like a wittle newborn

That night, we went to Jenene's for hotdogs and hayride.

Here's Macy all bundled up.

9 Months Old! (on Dec. 5)

* You are now crawling all over the house and are into everything!  You are starting to stand up while holding onto furniture and you look so proud when you do this.

* You are such a talker... Your favorite word is "eyes"  and you love to point them out on people, books, stuffed animals , etc.   You can also say "fish" and "cat". You learned these from flashcards on your daddy's iphone.  You still say 'mama' and 'da-da'.  One night when you were falling asleep you starting sounding out the "p" sound and said "papa".

*You are still not a big fan of baby food, but you love "real" food .  You also love the Gerber Graduates snacks...puffs, melts, and the ones I call "baby cheetos".  You looove graham crackers.  You will also eat Yobaby yogurt.  You tried turkey for the first time on Thanksgiving.

*You have 7 teeth!  (4 on top , 3 on bottom)

*You still do not sleep thru the night...every now and then it will happen, but it's rare.  You'll get there eventually...(hopefully? lol)

*You are loving your first Christmas tree...   You reach out to it and whisper what sounds like "touch it" (not sure really if you are saying this ha)  and you act like you are scared to touch the tree..you reach out..and then bring your hand back really quick.  too funny!   You also like to touch the eyes on your reindeer stocking and again you do the whispering thing haha

(Your hair kinda looks like old school Kate Gosselin here...lol)

*You wear a size 3 diaper and wear mostly 6-9m and 12m clothing

*You looove books, but you eat them so we have to watch you closely!  Still love being read to. You sit so still and really listen.

* We had your picture made with Santa on Dec. 3rd and you did not care for him too much!  You definitely know when you are with a stranger.

*You had a bad cold in November for about 2 weeks...hopefully no more sickness!

*You have your 9 month well check this friday - Dec. 9.  So I will update then about weight/height.

*You wave, point, and clap

*You hate to wear socks...you always pull them off as soon as you see that you have them on.  And shoes?...forget about it.

*You attended your first Christmas parade on November 27.  You enjoyed waving at the floats!

Trick or Treat (better late than never)

Saturday, October 29-   Took Macy to visit Nana in her butterfly costume.  All of the residents went crazy over her.  She was really good considering she had not had a nap all day long because we had been shopping at Mighty Dollar and Walmart.  She also had her first taste of Chick-Fil-A...boy did she like it! She was doing a victory dance after every bite haha!    Megan brought Riana over that night so we could get pics of them in their costumes, they were just too cute!

"So I told her, look kid..."

Sunday, October 30-  We went with Jenene, Candice, and the boys to a trunk or treat at a nearby church.  We felt a little bad letting Macy get candy considering she doesnt really eat it yet, but she got a bucket full! lol  We did give some of it out to trick or treaters the next night...haha

Monday, October 31-  I forgot I had Macy another costume - a black cat (I bought several costumes last year before she was even born because they were so cheap).  So I put that on her and it was so cute we just had to go show her off.  First we went to see Poppy.  He let her pick her out a candy bar..she chose a snickers and was tearing that thing up through the wrapper! lol   I let her taste a little bit of it and my goodness she loved it.  She got mad when I took it away.    Then we went to visit my grandma Pat.  We took lots of pics with her camera because my memory card was full so I will have to get copies of those.  After that, we took her to see her Mimi.   It was pretty late after that, so we just headed home and got her ready for bed.

Here are some pics from my phone:

Also, my bday was October 15th and this was my gift from Macy :)

These were taken later that day, we had a little pumpkin photoshoot
