You only paid WHAT for that outfit??

I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner: Show Us Your Life-Where do you shop for kids?

I get asked a lot where I find Macy's clothes and hairbows.  A lot of her clothes come from The Children's Place when they are having a good sale combined with a coupon (you can almost always find one).  Also, they tend to offer free shipping on any order at least once a month.   Here's an outfit I ordered online from there, I think I paid around $4 for it:

And this was one of my favorites, after coupon was around $4 also:

This was her outfit for the 4th of July, her onesie was from The Children's Place, but her bow came from Zulily for around $5...LOVE it!

I also love consignment sales. I was able to get this dress for $1!  I think the brand is Good Lad.

But here lately I would say the bulk of her clothes have been coming from none other than EBAY!  You can find some really really great deals on NEW clothes.  I have gotten several Gymboree,  Rare Editions, and Bonnie Jean brand items with the tags still on them for a fraction of the retail price.   I have also bought several handmade bows from a particular lady on Ebay. I think I just searched "boutique hairbows".   I try to get ones that I have a specific outfit(s) in mind that the bow will match.  Another tip is to find a seller with LOTS of items for sale that will combine shipping.  You will save a lot this way.  You will soon find sellers that you want to buy from again and again..I know I have!

Here is one outfit that came entirely from Ebay (paid $5.75 for the dress, it retails for $52.00):

Here is a better shot of her bow, it is light purple and brown with cute horses on it; one of my favorites:

And here is another Rare Editions outfit brand new from Ebay.  Also with another cute bow from ebay, this one has cows on it (probably my favorite, love the feathers!).   I paid around $7 for this one and around $4 for the bow.  I got it for her to wear to a wedding and she has worn it a few more times including this past weekend.  I have seen the exact same outfit in a particular store for $40.

Here is one of my best deals I have found on Ebay.  It's a handmade pillowcase dress with Macy's name monogrammed on it.  You will never guess what I paid including custom monogrammed name...

Ok I'll just tell you...

$5.99 with FREE shipping!!  I couldn't believe no one else bid against me..that was an AWESOME deal!  Here is a pic of Macy wearing her dress.  Also, when this dress gets too short to be a dress it can be worn as a top...such a bonus!!  (notice her bow, this one with ladybugs... another ebay find!)

The deals are out there, you just have to find them!

Macy's Baby Dedication / Nana's Bday Party

Trying to play catch up on everything....

Sunday, August 28th was Macy's baby dedication at church.  Our whole family went up while the preacher held Macy.  Then Macy's Mawmaw Jenene sang a sweet song to her.  Here are some pics, of course!

Here we are afterwards at home

And here I am holding Macy like a puppet...

Here's Macy on her blanket her Mawmaw made her

Then we left home to go to Nana's bday party

Oak Island 2011

Finally getting around to our beach trip....(picture overload!)
Saturday Aug. 20:
Saturday we got up, got ready and waited on my mom, dad, and brother to get to our house.  They were a little late so we took a few pics outside while we waited:

After they got there, we followed them to eat breakfast and then we were on our way.  Macy did pretty good and took several naps.
We stopped at the farmers market to use the restrooms and look around.
Finally we arrived.  We unpacked and then got ready to go eat.

Then we headed to get groceries. I put Macy in her sling and wore her around the store. She was so relaxed she was about to fall asleep .  When we got back to the truck she fell asleep instantly once she was in her carseat.
Sunday Aug 21.
We stayed at the house and played on the beach all day.

Macy loved the water!

"Please...no pictures!"

We had pork roast for dinner and I made a cake that looked like a donut..mm

Then we walked on the beach

Monday August 22:

We got ready and drove to Myrtle Beach.
First we went to the Tanger Outlets, but didn't find anything.  Then we went to eat at Bennetts for all you can eat crab legs...yum!
Tuesday August 23:
Hurricane Irene seemed to be heading our way so we knew we better enjoy the beach while it was still nice out.

We ordered take out from the BBQ House for dinner and then walked on the beach and took pics of course.
Wednesday August 24:
Played on the beach for a while
Then got ready to go to Southport.
First we went to our favorite little store to get some candy.  Then we took some pictures by the water. We had to wake Macy up so she was a little out of it for the pictures.
After that we went to eat at Lucky Fisherman.  It wasn't really good for what we paid...

Macy really wanted this cookie...

Then we drove out to Boiling Springs Lakes to see what it looked like.
After we got back, we had a photo shoot with Macy.
Thursday August 25:

I made monkey bread for breakfast.
Then we stayed on the beach most of the day.
The tide started coming waaay in all the way to our cabana and then to the beach access.
Brought to you by Hurricane Irene:

Then the tide went back out and there was an awesome sunset

That evening the realty place left a message saying that we had to evacuate by 10 a.m. the next morning  boooo!   So this was our last day ..sad

Friday August 26th:

Packed up and left....had breakfast at Hardees (along with the rest of the island) and were on our way.
